BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography that looks like you

Stock photos quietly weaken a small business. They are generic, everyone else is using them, and they never quite look like your world. I make real images of you, your work and your space, shot to fit your brand and your website exactly.

Stock photos are quietly costing you

People connect with people. Your clients are choosing you: who you are, what you do and how you work.

Real photographs of you, your space and your work let them feel that from the first click, so by the time they get in touch they already trust you. Show them the real face and the real place behind the business, and the right people know they are in the right hands.

The usual signs:

  • Your headshot is years out of date
  • Your site leans on stock images everyone recognises
  • The photos you have do not match your brand
  • Nothing on the site shows the real you or your work
  • You avoid being on camera, and it shows

What you get

What we can cover

Planned around where the images need to go, so one shoot works for months, not a handful of one-off photos.

Portraits

You, on camera

The face

Personal branding portraits, so people see the human they would be working with.

  • Relaxed, natural headshots
  • A few looks, not one stiff pose
  • Shot for your site and your socials
  • Guidance so you are not stiff on the day
  • Images you will actually use

The human face of the business.

Your work

What you make

The proof

Your products, services or projects in real settings, not stock mock-ups.

  • Products or work shown in real use
  • Detail shots that show the quality
  • Consistent with your brand colours
  • Framed with space for words
  • Ready to drop straight into the site

Proof of what you actually do.

Behind the scenes

How you work

The story

Your space and your process, the images that build trust before anyone gets in touch.

  • Your workspace and how you work
  • Real moments, not posed ones
  • The small details that show you care
  • A library, not five one-off shots
  • Enough to feed months of posts

The trust-building back story.

On film

Old cameras and expired film

Alongside the digital work I shoot film, on old cameras, often on stock that is years past its date. Expired film is unpredictable, which is exactly why I use it. Colours shift, the grain is heavier, and no two rolls come back the same.

It is a slower way to shoot. Thirty six frames on a roll and no screen to check, so each one gets thought about before I take it.

Every roll goes to a specialist lab for processing and scanning, so film comes back on the lab’s timing rather than mine. It is worth the wait.

Film can run alongside your digital shoot so you have both, or it can be the whole shoot. It is priced by the roll.

35mm, £125 a roll

Around thirty six frames. This is what I shoot most often because it keeps pace with a working day.

Medium format, £175 a roll

Bigger negatives and a slower way of working, so it needs planning into the day.

You get every frame worth having, scanned and ready to use. Old cameras and expired film mean some frames do not come out, so the number varies. I will not pad a set out to reach a count.

Joined up

Shot by the person who builds your site

Most brand shoots hand you a folder of lovely images that then do not fit the site. The crops are wrong, the mood is off, the colours fight the brand.

Because I design the brand and build the website too, I shoot with all of that in mind: the right shapes, the right space for words, the right feel. The photos slot in instead of being forced in.

You can start with just the photography, and add the brand and website when you are ready. It is all made to fit together.

Why ask me

I have spent over thirty years in the creative industry, and I am a photographer as well as a designer. So when I shoot your brand, I already know exactly where every image needs to go.

I will also tell you when you do not need a full shoot. If a couple of good portraits would do it, I would rather say that than sell you a big session. That is usually why people come back.

Tell me what the photos are for and I will give you an honest view of what would actually help, and what it costs.
